The Best Advertisement Is a Happy Customer.

People often ask me, “How do I get my husband to go back to church?” or “What do I say to the grandkids to make them want to pray. I always tell them the best advertisement is a happy customer. If you are following all of Christ’s instructions, you will bear much fruit. You will be productive and fulfilled in life. That will make you happy.  And everyone likes to be happy.

When the queen of Sheba went to visit Solomon, she noticed that Solomon was happy. And he was happy because he lived in a beautiful palace, ruled a unified country with expanded borders, and had a thriving economy. He just built the most beautiful temple in the ancient world, with a gold dome that blazed in the morning sunlight. So, the Queen asked him, “Why does success follow you wherever you go?” He told her that he followed God’s instructions. Do you know what this queen from a pagan country said in reply? “I want to follow God’s instructions. Happy customers

Remember Tom Brady. Athletes would ask him, “How come you do not have injuries? You get late hits, sacks, and you still get up every time as if nothing happens. Tom told him that his secret was his special diet. Eating the right foods protects your bones and joints. So, let’s talk about the Tom Brady diet for a moment. If you like to sit down once in a while and have a delicious meal, you will not be on a Tom Brady diet. Or let’s say you had a long day and you want to reward your hard work with a little snack. You are not on a Tom Brady diet. I make a wonderful breaded eggplant parmigiano Delicious. People say it is to die for. But forget it if you are on a Tom Brady diet. So why are so many athletes buying his diet? A happy customer. They asked Brady which of his Super Bowl rings was his favorite. He said the next one. That best describes the happiness every NFL player wants.  

We heard some of Jesus instructions, and they are not easy, but that is what will make your life fruitful and productive. You will be fulfilled. That is the road to true happiness. And that is how you can get the most hardened kid to go back to church.
