Our Lady, Beautiful Star

Oh Mary, my dearest Mother, give me your heart so beautiful, so pure, so immaculate, so full of love and humility, that I may receive Jesus as you did — and go in haste to give him to others. Amen.

Monthly Fiat

We tend to notice when a star in the sky appears very bright and large relative to the others. We are intrigued and inquire. This is Our Lady. She is the most beautiful star of holiness and obedience to God. Rightly are we intrigued and rightly do we inquire of her ways and her beauty that we might come to share in the brightness she herself shares from our Lord.

Perhaps this month make a trip to the Museum of Fine Arts or find an art book with images of Our Lady and contemplate the beauty of her holiness.

“The Blessed Virgin saw shining upon her, as no other creature, the face of the Father, rich in grace and mercy.” — Pope St. John Paul II
