Step One
God is the first and principal agent in the vocation of every religious. He is at work in the depths of the heart of the person called to follow Christ. If you believe that you may have a vocation to the Oblates of the Virgin Mary, the first step is to make yourself known to us. You may be asked to attend a search-in at our formation center in Cebu, during which the possibility of applying to our formation program will be discussed.
Step Two
Afterwards, you should allow some time for yourself to pray and reflect on your visit, and to talk to a spiritual director about what you have experienced.
Step Three
The next step is the application process. You will be asked to supply a birth certificate, Baptismal and Confirmation certificates, transcript of records from previous schooling, NBI clearance, and a few other documents. A medical and psychological exam will be conducted upon entrance into the formation program.
April 15 is the deadline for applying for the next school year. Once a candidate has been accepted, he will come to the seminary in late May. After a week of orientation and a brief retreat, classes will begin.
