Rooted in the traditions of Ignatius of Loyola and Pio Bruno Lanteri (Founder of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary), the Lanteri Center for Ignatian Spirituality fosters growth in holiness through the ministry of spiritual direction. By teaching, contemplative listening, and careful discernment, we strive to lead men and women to a deeper experience of the Father’s merciful love. The Lanteri Center assists Christians to seek holiness of life in prayerful reflection upon God’s Word in the Living Tradition of the Church.

Spiritual Direction

Anyone desiring to grow in their relationship with God through prayer and regular meetings with a spiritual director can contact the Lanteri Center for Ignatian Spirituality for an initial interview.

Formation Programs

Those who have experienced the dynamics of the full Spiritual Exercises either in the 30-Day format or in Daily Life (19th Annotation) and have discerned, with their present spiritual director, a call to become a spiritual director may submit an application to our formation programs.  Our local formation programs will take place in two stages over a five-year period:

  1. The first three years (Prayer Partnering Program) will provide formation in companioning
    another person in praying with the Word of God.
  2. The 4th and 5th years will focus on preparing candidates to lead others in the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola with special attention to the Exercises in Daily Life (19th Annotation).

Parish Outreach

The Lanteri Center staff offers parish retreats on themes of Ignatian prayer and discernment. These can be adapted to your schedule either during an intensive weekend for over the period several days.

Church Affiliation

The Lanteri Center for Ignatian Spirituality is rooted in the Roman Catholic tradition; however, our doors are open to Christians of others churches and communities who desire to walk and share in this precious ministry offered by the Holy Spirit to all followers of the Lord Jesus.

Greg Cleveland, O.M.V., of The Lanteri Center for Ignatian Spirituality in Denver. “We offer that service to people looking for that one-on-one guidance, helping deepen their relationship with The Lord.
